The Kerala Catholic Community of Leicester consists of 250 devout Eastern Christian families, who have come to Leicester over the course of past 15 years. Though hailing from different parts of Kerala and belonging to diverse groups of Oriental communities, we have been groomed into a vibrant community of faithful in this area. This Oriental community from Kerala, encompassing around one thousand faithful, have kept our apostolic tradition of St. Thomas alive by our intense participation in all pastoral activities here.


Our Catechism programme that caters to around 180 students and organized by 16 membered team of teachers have been pivotal in moulding the next generation of Christian faithful. The seven Eucharistic ministers hailing from our community would testify to the intensity and depth of our involvement in the life of the Church. Our Kerala Catholic community at Mother of God emblazons as perfect example of unity and ecclesial communion of diverse Oriental Catholics consisting of Syro-Malabar, Syro-malabar knanaya catholics, Syro-Malankara Catholics and few Eastern Orthodox families.
